checking vmware

Is there a good way to check if a VMWare GSX setup is running on
Linux? It creates 4 seperate types of process:
one each of
/usr/bin/vmnet-bridge
  /usr/sbin/vmware-serverd
and one per vitrual machine of
/usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware-vmx

The fourth is the apache console, that I don't care about. I don't
want to have to change the configs to keep up with the number of
running virtuals, but can't think of anything better than running
several check_processes
