If you don't want it to be concerned about diskspace, don't add the
disk checks to the service groups. If NLG isn't looking at service-
groups, then perhaps that's what you need to start doing, but only
adding the services that *actually* affect services to those groups.

Service groups are there for precisely this reason, really. Making
users see how various failures in the network affects what *they*
use is an immensely powerful feature, but it has to be used properly.
