"Service check did not exit properly", possible redhat bug?

Hello all:

Joshua Coombs and Steve Shipway were discusing an issue with
a properly running pluging returning the error in the subject line.

I am seeing this same problem on a Centos 4 box running a plugin
written in java. On the nagios plugin mailing list:

I am wondering if we are all seeing the efects of the same bug.
Joshua and Steve what distribution/kernel version are you running on
the boxes producing this error?
