what does 'Report Period' field do in Availability report (2.x) ?

Hi all,

Michael, just to confirm (because I'm 99% sure,) applying this 
timeperiod filter does not exclude the "Backtracked Archives" report 
option, does it? i.e. when generating the report, archives will still be 
backtracked for initial states, right?
