Installation Issues

I just installed Nagios 2.0b3. I ran nagios -v and all tested well -
apparently. When I run

     nagios /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg I see

"Nagios 2.0b3 starting ... (PID=6999)"

Then after several minutes I get the following message repeatedly in
several minute intervals

"/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_procs: option requires an argument -s"

If I click on any of the Monitoring Tools on the webpage I get the
following message

"It appears as though you do not have permission to view information for
any of the hosts you requested...

If you believe this is an error, check the HTTP server authentication
requirements for accessing this CGI and check the authorization options
in your CGI configuration file."

I don't see anything wrong with the configuration files but I may not be
looking in the right place. Sorry - I'm new.

Could someone please enlighten me as to what I should check?

Thanks.
