Password Issue on CGI's

I did use the "use_authentication=0" to attempt to stop passwords and even
used guest as the default account. I did also restart the services and this
did not work so I rebooted the server, which also did not work..

Did you restart nagios and httpd?

Also, you mentioned "use_authentication=1 to try to even stop the passwords"
in your post.

This should be set to "0" to bypass authentication.

Subject: [Nagios-users] Password Issue on CGI's

I followed this link
http://www.clarkson.edu/projects/itl/mpX52/sp2005/longca/install.html

and then went to http://localhost/nagios/index.html

Clicked on the links and started being asked for a password. I didn't set a
password so I then figured out how to use htpasswd to set passwords.

The password would not work so I followed this link:
http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/2_0/cgiauth.html

Now I am still being asked for a password and can't get by the logon. I set
the configuration file for Nagios for use_authentication=1 to try to even
stop the passwords from being asked. How can I get away from this password
issue?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You;
Eddie
