nagios startup error

I've never seen nagios fail in this way but I've also never seen anyone
try to run with two not-so-compatible command line flags (-d and -v).
You should test your config with -v first, then if everything checks
out, run with -d --

/path/to/nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg

/path/to/nagios -d /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg
