nagios not sending out notifications

   First: All notifications sent (or at least tries) should listed in 
Alert History. Are there some notifications listed? 
   By looking there, you can deduce whether notifications has been send
(and lost) or there are no sent notifications (because of Nagios
misconfiguration).

   Notificatios will be send only in the "right time" (ie.you have to
specify correct timeperiod for contact). You have to specify some
contacts for the service/host too.
