Just to clarify!

The arguments to -w and -c are not ranges. They define the thresholds for
1-minute, 5-minute, and 15-minute intervals. So it is perfectly fine to say:

check_load -w 1,0.5,0.5 -c 2,1,1

This will raise a warning if the 5min or 10min load average is above 0.5,
but will also warn if the 1min average is above 1. This maybe useful if you
don't mind the server having a high load sporadically as long as its long
term averages are lower (for interactive servers like a webserver).
