It parses the output of 'ps' -- therefor, it returns the same units as
your ps command does.

I think that it's uually kb, but I'm not 100% sure, and my ps
documentation does not seem clear on that point.

When I wrote it, my concern was for processess that got stuck, and
started consuming too much ram. So I was most concerned with relative
changes in size. Didn't really matter to me what the absolute size was.

Hope that helps some, even though it's not as clear as you were probably
hoping an answer would be.
