If you do a graceful shutdown of nagios, are there any nagios processes
still left running?  (You might have to wait a bit for the existing ones to
die off... I'm not sure what the implication is of just doing a pkill on
them w.r.t. trending/reporting.)

Also, is/are your browsers set to use a proxy server to get out of your
private network?  It's possible that if you're bouncing off that proxy to
get to your internal network, that that proxy is doing the caching.  Food
for thought.
