Why do I get a Service Critical when the output from the plugin shows okay?..

 [11-13-2002 10:48:25] SERVICE ALERT: i1;SMTP;CRITICAL;HARD;3;SMTP OK - 0 second response time  



I have tried figuring this one out for quite a bit, but have no other answer other than the server's respond so quickly that I get a 0 second response time.....

Is there a way to fix this?
