Why do I get a Service Critical when the output from the plugin shows okay?..

Known issue. The plugin is timing out waiting for the smtp server to quit. Grab the cvs plugins for the fix.

Subject: [Nagios-users] Why do I get a Service Critical when the output from the plugin shows okay?..

  Service Critical <http://m1.idsbi.com/nagios/images/critical.png> [11-13-2002 10:48:25] SERVICE ALERT: i1;SMTP;CRITICAL;HARD;3;SMTP OK - 0 second response time

I have tried figuring this one out for quite a bit, but have no other answer other than the server's respond so quickly that I get a 0 second response time.....

Is there a way to fix this?

"The path of a ATM PVC is beset on all sides by the inequities of the provisioner and the tyranny of lower a QoS. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, ups the CIR in times of network congestion. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of stale PVC's. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to lower my priority and clear my cells. And you will know I am CBR when I lay my vengeance upon you."
