Just a bit of friendly advice . . . You may want to reconsider your
position on updating or customizing plugins.  While it may be possible
to find plugins that do exactly what you want in your particular
environment with no modifications, it's going to be unnecessarily
difficult and often frustrating.  And it's certainly going to limit your
choices of plugins, and thus the power and flexibility of Nagios. You
may even find that the coding skills required to fix/tweak/tune/etc a
plugin for your particular setup *might* be quite minimal.
