We are using a combination of NRPE and WMI. I do NRPE checks to a
windows proxy machine to do the WMI windows checks. This means I only
have one client software installation of NRPE_NT on my proxy machine.
See
http://proddoc.groundworkopensource.com/Bookshelf_RoboHelp/GroundWork_Pr
ofiles/WMI_Profiles/Profiles_WMI_Windows.htm for an explanation. You can
find the groundworks wmi scripts on nagiosforge.

There is https://github.com/mbaldessari/nagios-wmi-plugin, but I haven't
used it, or http://www.openpegasus.org/
