Nagios 3.3.1 compile error

I am running FreeBSD version 8.1.  I have Nagios core 3.2.3 compiled and
installed.  I ran

./configure --sysconfdir=/etc/nagios --localstatedir=/var/nagios
--with-command-group=nagcmd

and

make all

then

make install.

Make install is where I get this error.

for file in includes/rss/*;  do /usr/bin/install -c -m 664 -o nagios -g
nagios $file /usr/local/nagios/share/includes/rss; done
install: includes/rss/extlib: Inappropriate file type or format
*** Error code 71

Stop in /usr/src/nagios/3.3.1/html.
*** Error code 1

Stop in /usr/src/nagios/3.3.1.

Any ideas?
