UTF-8 charcterest for nagios 3.2.3

Hello all.

I would like to ask a question regarding to the charset for nagios 3.2.3.

The cgi for nagios 3.2.3 seems to be not capable of UTF 8 characters, espicially Japanese characters.
I find that there are Japanese patches for nagios but nagios 3.2.3 is not supported yet.

If anyone has a experience of dealing with the non ascii characters on 3.2.3 , 
could you please share your knowledge?
