How does an NRPE daemon work with multiple Nagios servers?

Each nagios server makes a request to the NRPE deamon. The daemon (or inetd) is 'listening' for requests, collects the status info and responds to the initial request which goes right back!

NRPE has requests made to it by the nagios server.

Hi,

Suppose I set up 2 Nagios servers on two machines respectively to actively monitor the same set of hosts and services on a LAN. How does each NRPE daemon know to which Nagios server to send check results back. Thanks.
