NRPE and IPv6

Hi, 

is ist possible to run NRPE over IPv6? When I try I get 

jens at calo-ila:/usr/local/nagios/libexec$ ./check_nrpe -H 2001:db8:1138::1
Invalid host name '2001:db8:1138::1'

When trying to use a Hostname with both A and AAAA record only A is
used.
