Identical weird data returned by NRPE on eight different hosts?

Do you mean the tests that aren't using NRPE like check_local_swap,  
check_local_load, check_local_procs and the like? Those aren't network  
aware tests. You need to copy them the remote machine and use NRPE to  
run them.
