delay notifications on passive checked services

The capability is the same between active and passive checks, just  
make sure you have your max_check_attempts where you want it. I'm  
going to guess that you have 'is_volatile' enabled though, which  
causes nagios to send an alert for every non-OK check it receives for  
that service. You'll need to disable that. The side effect is that  
you'll need to reset the service to an OK state before you'll receive  
further notifications.
