"can't shift that many" error

While attempting to restart the nagios daemon i get the following error. Any
thoughts?

$ sudo /etc/init.d/nagios2 restart
 * Restarting nagios2 monitoring daemon
nagios2
shift: 225: can't shift that many
shift: 1: can't shift that many
