are host aliases mandatory ? (config check accept it)

Hello,

They may not be mandatory, but I think they are used in notifications -- for
example, if a contact for the host is to be notified by email if the host
goes down and the host does go down, the message says something like
'<hostalias>/ping is CRITICAL'. I may not be correct here... put in a dummy
host with no alias and see what the notification says.
