multiple escalation steps

Hello,
we have planned our notification escalation periods and run into the
question if we can define multiple steps in one serviceescalation
definition,
or if we can "use" multiple templates?

I have the following templates:

svc-esc-err-step2-tmpl
svc-esc-err-step3-tmpl
svc-esc-crit-step2-tmpl
svc-esc-crit-step3-tmpl
svc-esc-debug-step2-tmpl
svc-esc-debug-step3-tmpl

and tried this:

define serviceescalation{
                use                            svc-esc-err-step2-tmpl,
svc-esc-err-step3-tmpl
                hostgroup_name         servers2
                service_description     PING,SWAP, CPU LOAD, ntp
}

i can reload nagios, but the 3rd step is not displayed in nagios.

Right now i would have to do for each step the same escalation
definition, which would make the whole thing bloated.

Are there some things that can my life easier?

greetings

Heiko
