Should 'nagios.conf' generated automatically?

Hi

I'm installing nagios-3.0.5 from the source in a CentOS-5.2 (x86) 
machine and I was wondering if the Apache configuration file 
"nagios.conf" should be generated by the system or if I have to write by 
hand.
