Host down, but ping works

Ok, i revised my check_commands config and i saw that check_host_alive
is executing check_fping and check_ping is executing a simple ping, then
i changed check_host_alive to send a single ping... but now, check_host
alive info on this host isn't updated (Last check is from one hour ago).
How i can change check_host_alive check_interval?

Thanks for your help! :)
