Acknowledgement and notifications

In Nagios 3.0a1 "Whats New" notes, I noticed that there is a couple of new macros
$HOSTEVENTID$ and $SERVICEEVENTID$

Is it worth to implement a feature where someone can acknowledge to that particular
eventid.
