Monitoring Windows XP Professional Machines

I use SNMP to monitor our Windows boxes. It's included by Microsoft in
the OS. All you have to do is install and configure it to your
environment. I suggest locking it down so that only your Nagios server
can query it.

There are several good SNMP plug-ins for Windows boxes on
nagiosexchange.
