Well, if a plugin can do this, then I do not see why you could not just come
up with a shell script to redirect the output of this command to an ascii
file and then have the plugin read the data back in from that same file to
do its job.

Subject: Re: [Nagios-users] Plugin for cisco x25 vc monitoring

Hello! Has anyone some shell or perl script which goes to cisco
router, evaluates commands on it and output the result?
I need to monitor x 25 vc connections on router. I have found where
are these variables stored in cisco snmp mibs. But there is no such
snmp plugin in Nagios to monitor this.

The command which I use to show info I need is:

router#sh x25 vc | inc 701000
  Connects 701000 <--> 1100101 to
  Connects 701000 <--> 1100101 from Serial1/0 SVC 5

So, how this command and its output will look in shell script, which
will be the plugin for Nagios? Sorry, I don't know shell scripting
well.That's why I answer.
