NRPE for OpenVMS 8.2 Alpha?

We have a need to bring the wholesome goodness of Nagios to the OpenVMS
8.2 (Alpha) platform.  Has anyone managed to build the NRPE daemon
there?

We may have to revert to trying rsh which I really hate to do.
