check_nt service check problem

Hi everyone,

I'm using check_nt with NSClient++ to check and see if a service is running on a Win 2003 server. The service I want to monitor is called "MSSQL$DESTINY". The check is failing and it says "MSSQL$: Unknown". It certainly appears that the dollar sign in the service name is causing a problem. I've tried quoting the service name and escaping the $ with a backslash. No luck so far. Any ideas?

-Tim
