Some beginner questions

Dear Nagios Users,

I am migrating over from Cacti and am in the process of setting up 
Nagios to monitor our network. I have some very basic questions that are 
rather general. Thank you for all your help.

1. The .cfg files, I assumed, are supposed to be owned by nagios user 
and group and be chmod 755?
2. For instance, in the hosts.cfg file, am I able to define hosts one 
after another in the same file as follows:

define hosts{
info here
}
define hosts{
different host here
}
etc...

I think this should be it for now and thank you for your help!
