Data protector plugs

Hi list,

I wonder if anyone is aware of plugins that could perform checks on HP Data
Protector backup software. I would like to receive a notification if backups
have been performed with errors.
If no ones exist, i'd like to discuss with initiates developpers the
possibility for me to start writing my first plugin, as i seek to learn
programming at least one language.
