cannot execute binary file

If you downloaded a binary file, is it the correct binary for your operating
system, distribution, and version? Do you trust the person who created the
binary for you? (Are you sure it's not a virus or trojan?)

If you downloaded the plugins source package from the main Nagios website,
did you follow instructions in the text file called "INSTALL"? Were there
any error messages?

Subject: [Nagios-users] cannot execute binary file

Hello,
Finally, I knew how to download the Unix Plugins. Many
thanks for the helps.
Now, when I try ./check_dns -h I have this message
bash: ./check_dns: cannot execute binary file.

I saw the capabilities user and group, it's ok. Perhaps must I use gcc ?
If yes, do you know the command syntax ? I don't know what to do.
Many thanks in advance.
Best regards,Daniel
