Snmp and Windows 2000

I just found that one version of snmpwalk does work against Win2k,
another does not. Are you using snmpwalk on a linux box?

NET-SNMP version: 5.1.2 -- Doesn't work
UCD-snmp version: 4.2.3 -- Does work

I use this command as a check:
snmpwalk 1.2.3.4 public .1.3.6
(replace 1.2.3.4 with the IP of the Win2k box)

I never rely on snmpwalk for functionality checks of Windows boxes. I
had to import some third party OIDs to get WinXP to behave properly.

snmpget should always work though, if you know the OID. I have some
basic OIDs:

WinXP (with third party extensions):
eth0in .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.65539
eth0out .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.65539
memAvailReal .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.1.2.0

cpuPriv .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.2.1.5.1.48
