Passive service checks and performance data handling

Hi,

I am gathering some temperature sensor information via Nagios'
passive service check. This works fine and the current data is
displayed on the web page "Service Status Details For Host Group".

What I cannot get to work is to hand the current values to my
performance data handler which would put them in a DB.

The performance data handler processes a lot of other actively
collected data and works fine there.

Is there any way to do this?

Many thanks,
                 Alf.
