Nagios Plugins build under SPARC Solaris8 with SUNWspro CC fails

# grep ^check_icmp_LDADD plugins/Makefile
check_icmp_LDADD = $(NETLIBS)

After that a "make install" really installed
PREFIX/libexec/check_icmp

But I'm not sure if it works.

When I run "check_icmp <some_host>", where I can "ping
<some_host>"
the command just hangs until sent a sigint (^C).

What's wrong?
