FW: Nagios map status

I may be wrong, but I thought statusmap shows only Host states, not service
states.

            I have Nagios v1.2 installed and running, but an issue I have is
that the status map does not reflect an error or warning.  Service detail
shows the correct state as well as the Tactical Overview. Notifications also
work correctly.  What are some possible things I could check.  Any help
would be appreciated.
