event handler for remote host

Hello nagios users

I am using the (httpd-restart) script given on the nagios.org page for
hadling the events on the remote host. But still i am not getting expected
result. Is thereany way to see the expected results. the script is properly
placed ont he remote host
also(/usr/local/nagios/libexec/eventhandlers/restart-httpd). do u think
there is any problem in my command defination.

define command{
        command_name    try
        command_line   
/usr/local/nagios/libexec/eventhandlers/restart-httpd  $SERVICESTATE$
$STATETYPE$ $SERVICEATTEMPT$
}
