Unofficials plugins and tips to write plugin

[nagios]

I'm looking for a site which provide nagios - plugins .

Did you know a plugin guidelines more precise to write nagios-plugins than 
the official site .

I'm searching tips to do my own plugin .

For example , one interface of one server monitored by nagios is passing on 
Half Duplex , can i detect this inside nagios with a plugin ?
Other example with SNMP i take one text line with interesting datas inside .
Can i extract this on a shell script and say to nagios that the plugin is my 
shell script ?
