If the loghost is to be a UNIX platform, you may also wish to consider
syslog-ng.....works like a charm.

Subject: [Nagios-users] Nagios as loghost

Hi!

We have to install a loghost server in our server farm... now can nagios
take over this part
with a special plugin??

We need a loghost yor windows systems and unix systems, so both have to be
logged by one host.

Can anyone help me ?
