I have Nagios 1.0 and I have a configuration as below:

master-router parent of circuit1
circuit1 parent of interface1
circuit1 parent of interface2
circuit1 parent of interface3

I set master-router to scheduled maintenance and took it down.

A little later, I received notifications of UNREACHABLE for circuit1 and
each of the three interfaces.

Why would I receive UNREACHABLE notifications if the parent or grandparent
is set to be down in scheduled maintenance?
