nagios plugin: uptime less than 30 minutes?

Has anyone tried using a nagios plugin that would report a system as
"down", when that system has been up for less than 30 minutes?

The idea is to avoid the problem were we don't get logs of when a system
was rebooted, if the system rebooted faster than nagios' sampling
frequency, and didn't straddle a sample.

Comments?

Thanks!
