What is the preferred 3rd party nagios configfile tool

AFAIK is nagios PHP a php Interface thet replaces the cgis not a tool for  
maintaining configuration files (correct me if I'm wrong).

Nagat nagmin are managing tools, but i'm not aware if they support 2.0.
