Checking stuff on remote hosts question

Install the plugins on the remote host: Download and compile or install a
rpm /deb package.
copying compiled veresions will only work on the same (incl. librarys)
systems/os
You can either use check_by_ssh, NRPE or NSCA to execute checks on remote
host.

NRPE is (in my opinion) an easy way
check_by_ssh i haven't tried that yet
NSCA is the way to go if you have a high load on the server or firewalls
that don't allow connections from the Nagios Server to the Remote host,
but from the Host to the Nagios Server.
it's a bit tricky (writing submit scripts) and you probably need a cronjob.
