Why bother more than necessary, and why add the additional delay? 
Procmail feeds the output of the mail to stdin of a script the instant 
(more or less) it arrives in the inbox. A check in nagios with an 
eventhandler connected to it is bound to be slower, more tedious and 
overall more than just a bit too cumbersome for this task.
