New hosts and services not visible in web interface - Again? Unfortenately yes

Hello,

Before I ask my question: I did read
http://www.nagios.org/faqs/viewfaq.php?faq_id=21&expand=false&showdesc=false
and I did have a look through the first pages of archive of this list.

I added 3 hosts and 3 services but they do not appear in the Service Detail and the Host Detail
pages of the web interface. I reloaded the .cfg's and also restarted Nagios but, that did not help.
I checked whether there is an other nagios process running but, there is only 1.

I noticed this question is asked quite a lot. The standard answer (which is also in the FAQ) doesn't
help much. Does anybody have ideas?
