Yes, you will need to install the client on the NT side. Its small and easy to do. We use it on over 15 of our windows boxes that we monitor.

Subject: [Nagios-users] quick question about check_nt plugin

Installed nagios recently. I saw check_nt plugin in in the plugins folder with
the rest of the plugins. I've been reading through the docs and I'm a little
confused. In addition to check_nt do I need to install nsclient on the local
windows hosts?? or can check_nt use snmp???
