Historical data

I have a question for you guys. Where is historical data stored on a Nagios
system with database capabilities turned on? I see that comments, downtime,
extinfo, retention, and status data is stored in MySQL database I configured
it for. But is there more data? For example is there a running log of
events and changes? I see that there is a nagios.log file in the nagios/var
directory. Is that it?

Has anyone figured out a way to store that nagios.log file in a MySQL
database?
