Top splits percentages among processors, notably.  So, if you're using
top to gather that information, you have to take into consideration your
processor count (quad box means a potential 400+%)

Make sure you read the man pages on top - there are overlapping cpu
fields, too.  (hence the '+' above)

/proc/loadavg is correct - but it uses normal (proper) Unix load
numbers, not percentages.
